There are places I am guided and drawn to like a magnet for my soul. They do not appear in books collected as mystic, or sacred places of the world, but, they are sacred to me. I found such a place last week. It was not my intended destination- I didn’t have one. But, I was pulled to this place, as if by some unseen force, like a magnet, or gravity, by the sea.
It was graced with the essence of nature’s magic and invigorated my soul for me, in this solitary place by the sea.
The 1 3/4 mile hike down to the beach was watched over by the towering sentinels of Sitka, though some had been torn asunder from their watchful duty by winter’s raging tempest.
When I reached the beach, a sole guest in Amphitrite’s sacred shrine, I felt the presence of the divine.
The sky, the beach and me in this temple down by the sea.
Until next time, then, by Poseidon’s grace, I will return to see you again.
